Motor Dock Marine provides a 90-day limited warranty on select pre-owned outboard motors sold through our website. This warranty is intended to provide customers with a reasonable period to verify that the engine is operating as described at the time of sale.

Warranty Coverage

The 90-day warranty period begins on the date the motor is delivered to the customer.

During this period, the warranty covers major internal mechanical issues that prevent the motor from operating as intended under normal use.

If a qualifying issue is confirmed during the warranty period, Motor Dock Marine may choose to:

  • Provide replacement parts,
  • Arrange for repair assistance, or
  • Offer another appropriate resolution based on the situation.

What the Warranty Does Not Cover

This warranty does not cover issues related to:

  • Normal wear and cosmetic condition
  • Routine maintenance items such as spark plugs, filters, lubricants, or impellers
  • Damage caused by improper installation or setup
  • Damage resulting from misuse, neglect, or accidents
  • Corrosion caused by improper storage or maintenance
  • Modifications or alterations made after delivery

Installation and Setup

Proper installation is essential for the safe operation of an outboard motor. Customers are responsible for ensuring the motor is installed correctly and according to manufacturer guidelines. Installation by a qualified marine technician is recommended.

Warranty Claims

If you believe your motor has a warranty-related issue, please contact us as soon as possible during the warranty period. Include your order number and a brief description of the issue. Photos or additional information may be requested to help review the claim.

Motor Dock Marine will review the situation and work with the customer to determine an appropriate next step.

Warranty Limitations

The warranty applies only to the original purchaser and is not transferable. Any repairs or service performed without prior communication may not be covered under this warranty.
