This policy works in conjunction with our Shipping Policy. Because outboard motors are shipped via freight carriers and delivered on pallets, all returns, refunds, and exchanges are handled under the conditions below.

60-Day Return Window

Returns or exchange requests must be submitted within 60 days of delivery. Requests made after this period are not eligible for review.

Refund Eligibility

Approved returns are eligible for a refund only after the item has been received, inspected, and verified.

Refunds apply to items that meet the return conditions and are approved under this policy.

Refund Method & Timing

Refunds are issued to the original payment method used at checkout.

Once the returned motor is received and inspected, refunds are typically processed within 5–10 business days. Processing times after issuance may vary depending on the payment provider or financial institution.

No alternative refund methods are offered unless required by the payment processor.

Exchanges & Replacement Units

We accept exchanges.

If a return is approved due to:

  • Freight shipping damage
  • Incorrect item received
  • Verified defect not disclosed at the time of sale

the customer may request a replacement outboard motor instead of a refund, subject to inventory availability.

If a replacement is not available, a refund will be issued instead.

Return Eligibility Requirements

To qualify for a return or exchange, the outboard motor must:

  • Be in the same condition as delivered
  • Not be installed, modified, disassembled, or altered in any way
  • Include all applicable components received at delivery

Items that do not meet these conditions are not eligible for return or exchange approval.

Eligible Return Reasons

Returns or exchanges are only accepted for the following:

  • Incorrect item delivered
  • Freight damage identified at delivery or during inspection
  • Verified defect not disclosed at time of sale

All requests are subject to inspection and approval before processing.

Freight Return Process

All returns and exchanges are handled through freight due to the size and weight of outboard motors.

Once a return or exchange is approved, an RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) number and freight instructions will be provided.

The motor must be securely packaged on a pallet or freight-safe packaging consistent with the original shipping method described in our Shipping Policy.

Return Shipping Costs

Return freight costs are the responsibility of the customer unless the return is due to:

  • Freight shipping damage
  • Incorrect item received
  • Verified defect

Restocking Fee

Approved returns may be subject to a 10% restocking fee to cover inspection, handling, freight coordination, and repackaging costs.

No restocking fee applies when the return is due to:

  • Shipping damage
  • Incorrect item delivery
  • Verified defect

Shipping Damage & Inspection Alignment

All deliveries should be inspected upon arrival, consistent with our Shipping Policy.

If damage is visible:

  • Note it with the freight driver before signing for delivery
  • Take clear photos of packaging and motor
  • Contact us immediately to begin a claim or return request

Damage claims must be supported with delivery-time documentation.

2. RMA Approval
If approved, we will issue a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number along with freight return or exchange instructions.

3. Freight Return Shipment
The item must be securely prepared for freight pickup or delivery using palletized or equivalent freight-safe packaging. Tracking and insurance are required.
